Headteacher's welcome

Welcome to our school!

At St Mark’s we see ourselves as a family that nurtures and includes all who come through our doors. Through strong leadership, a positive attitude to learning and high expectations of all our learners, the school provides a friendly and caring and place in which to learn where everybody matters.

We work hard to provide the best possible education for every child and will not rest until our good is better and our better is best. We believe in better – better teaching, better outcomes, better everything.

Our curriculum is broadly traditional and has been carefully crafted and designed to ensure children move on to the next stage of their education with the language, knowledge and experiences to show a broad and deep understanding of each subject. We want our children to know more, remember more and be hungry for more.

St Mark’s is a proud church school that likes to celebrate success at every level and to build both confidence and responsibility in us all. We believe the excellent relationships we develop with our children and their families are central to creating a distinctive church ethos.

Our children enjoy a challenge and love to learn. We provide a wide array of activities for them to broaden their horizons, inspire creativity and build social intelligence. We work together in partnership with families, and other key members of the community, on the school’s journey to provide an outstanding education for all and be a great place for everyone to flourish.

In September 2019, St Mark’s and Wyndham Park Infants’ School formed the Primary Learning Collaboration – similar to a federation. This means we have one Head of School, one leadership team and one set of governors all working closely to provide one outlook – the best deal possible. We do this with honesty, hard work and never forgetting that it’s the little things that matter.

From 1st February 2024 we are proud to be part of the Brunel Academies Trust.

We trust you will find our website informative and of interest. If you want to know more please ask us – by phone, by email or pop in and see us.
